Sha’arei Gan Eden, by Rav Moshe Romi, a talmid of the Ramak - an elucidation of the maamar of Rabbi Yehoshua ben Levi according to the Zohar, on matters of yirah and avodas Hashem; together with Shaarei Gehinnom by Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, so that a person guards himself from an evil path. Stamp and signature of Rav Shlomo Ansbacher (1842–1912), talmid of Rav Yitzchak Dov Halevi Bamberger of Würzburg and Rav Ezriel Hildesheimer of Eisenstadt. He was the founder and leader of the separate community “Adas Yisrael” in Nuremberg for approximately thirty-six years. Some of his chiddushei Torah were published by his son, Rav Yonah, in Kuntress Zichron Shlomo (Frankfurt A.M, 1936, in German). Additional signatures on the title page and on endpaper. Lublin, 1597 - printed by Klonymus ben Mordechai Yaffe. Extremely rare. 45 leaves. Missing leaf 29 . 20 cm. Tears and tape to the title page and following leaf. Dampstains, a small hole in one leaf and final leaves. Moderate to fine condition.
