באר מים הגדה חסידית קדומה וחשובה שנדפסה עתה ע"י נכד המחבר, שהוסיף גם מספר פרי חיים. עם הסכמות חדשות רבות. המחבר מביא חידושי תורה ששמע מתלמידי הבעש"ט.
המביא לדפוס כותב שלא עלה בידו להדפיס את כל ספר 'פרי חיים' אלא רק חלקים ממנו. ואכן, ישנם טפסים ללא פרי חיים כלל.
