Rabbi Eliezer Yehuda Waldenberg (1916 - 2006), author of Responsa Tzitz Eliezer and Mahshavi the Poskim of the 20th century, was best known for his responsa on medical and halachic matters, member of the Rabbinical Court of Israel, winner of the Israel Prize for Torah Literature, And Rabbi Kook.
Rabbi Yisrael Zissel Dvoretz (also known as the pen name: Platin) (1885-1968) was a rabbi and an ultra-Orthodox activist. He served as Rabbi of Udi and Bizada, Lithuania, editor of the Torah journal Tavuna.
