המחבר - שימש כרבה של ויניצה שבאוקראינה במשך קרוב לשלושים שנה.
בעלי הספר הגאון רבי צבי הירש פרבר - [תרל"ט-תשכ"ו], אב"ד לונדון ויושב ראש "התאחדות הרבנים". מגדולי רבני ליטא ואנגליה. כיהן גם כראש ישיבה והיה מחבר תורני ודרשן מחונן. ממייסדי הקהילה החרדית באנגליה, רב ראשי לאגודות בתי כנסיות "חסד ואמת"-לונדון. כיהן במשך שנים רבות כמזכיר הכבוד של "ועד הרבנים" הלונדוני.
