בהקדמת הספר כותב הגאון רבי חיים דוווידזון אב"ד ווארשא שבשעת מגיפת החולירע בווארשא נדרו על קברו של המהרא"ל מפלאצק להוציא את אחד מחיבוריו לאור. הגאון רבי חיים דווידזון הגיהו והכינו לדפוס - ראה בהקדמתו.
בראש רשימת החתומים בתחילת הספר נמצא הגה"ק בעל חידושי הרי"ם.
הרב יהושע זעליג דיסקין - [תרנ"ח-תשל"א], רבה של פרדס חנה. פעל רבות למען היהדות. עלה ארצה בשנת תרצ"ד, והיה ממקורביהם הגדולים של החזו"א והרב מפוניבז'. בשנת תש"ז נתמנה לרבה של המושבה 'פרדס חנה', שם כיהן כעשרים שנה. זכה לבנים וחתנים ת"ח ידועי-שם, ובראשם מרן הגרי"ג אדלשטיין, מראשי ישיבת פוניבז' המעטירה.
