A Victorian Green Leather Dispatch Box - A Victorian green leather-clad document or dispatch box of rectangular form. The exterior features a recessed brass carrying handle set into the lid and a shield-shaped brass escutcheon to the front. The interior is lined with matching green leather featuring gold-line tooling. The underside of the lid is fitted with a leather strap containing two accessories, comprising a flat bone or celluloid paper knife and a stylus. The interior leather is gold-stamped with the registration mark Rd 173369. The main body of the box contains a set of tiered, notched dividers designed for paper organisation.
