A 9k Gold Folding Lorgnette Retailed by F. Hamlin of Eastbourne ( 30.4G ) - A 9k gold lorgnette featuring two circular lenses connected by a folding bridge mechanism. The piece is constructed with an elongated, tapered handle decorated with pierced geometric openwork and terminates in a small circular suspension loop. The lorgnette is presented in a custom-shaped hard case with a dark purple velvet-lined base. The interior lid lining is white silk and bears the gold-stamped inscription F. HAMLIN F.B.O.A. OPHTHALMIC OPTICIAN EASTBOURNE.
