Bidspirit auction | A late 19th or early

A late 19th or early 20th-century Staffordshire transfer-printed earthenware wash basin - A large, circular earthenware wash basin of shallow form with a flared rim. The cream-coloured body is decorated with multi-colour transfer-printed botanical motifs. The design consists of asymmetrical sprays featuring autumnal leaves in shades of brown, orange, and green, alongside brambles and small pink blossoms. A repeating rope-twist border in a dark tone encircles the interior rim. The style and manufacture are characteristic of late Victorian or Edwardian aesthetic period pottery from the Staffordshire region. No maker's marks are visible to the interior or rim.
