Bidspirit auction | A Group of Chinese Rice
A Group of Chinese Rice Grain Porcelain Tableware and a Decorative Ceramic Dish - A group of Chinese export porcelain in the rice grain pattern and a decorative ceramic dish. The porcelain components include bowls and matching spoons featuring translucent linglong piercings. These are decorated with underglaze blue borders and central floral motifs in iron-red and green enamels, finished with gilded rims. The spoons feature underglaze blue geometric patterns on the handles. The interior walls of the bowls feature illegible red-painted characters, which appear to be contemporary factory marks rather than apocryphal reign marks. These porcelain items date to the mid-to-late 20th century. The rectangular ceramic dish, dating to the late 20th century, has a blue-glazed rim and a central transfer-printed illustration of anthropomorphic mice in a kitchen, with holly and ribbon motifs.
