A Collection of Novelty and Decorative Ceramic Teapots and Ornaments - A collection of novelty and decorative earthenware and porcelain teapots and ceramic items, largely characteristic of mid-to-late 20th-century British production. The assortment includes several novelty teapots of various forms. One is a rectangular earthenware teapot modelled as a building with relief-moulded figures of cricketers and painted text reading TOTAL 197 HOME WKTS 2. Another novelty piece is shaped as a watermill with a prominent moulded wheel, decorated in a palette of greens, blues, and browns. A square-form teapot is modelled as a castle with corner turrets and a cream glaze. Also included is a character teapot depicting a seated figure in a brown robe and black head covering, and pieces modelled as thatched cottages with orange and brown glazes. The decorative teapots include an octagonal or hexagonal vessel with a navy blue ground, decorated with transfer-printed and hand-coloured pink and orange flowers, fitted with a fixed bamboo-style overhead handle. A round earthenware teapot features a mottled white glaze with hand-painted floral sprigs and a light-blue spherical knob. A smaller teapot is decorated with blue transfer-printed geometric diaper patterns and a central floral motif. Another vessel shows a polychrome transfer-printed scene of figures in a landscape with gilded accents. The collection is completed by a light-blue ribbed spherical ceramic ornament with gold-coloured accents and a ring base. No factory marks are visible on the bases of the items in the provided images.
