Bidspirit auction | A Trio of Decorative Pressed

A Trio of Decorative Pressed Glassware in the Style of Cut Crystal - A trio of decorative pressed glass items featuring patterns designed to imitate the appearance of hand-cut crystal. The assembly includes a large circular serving bowl with a deeply moulded design, featuring a centre starburst motif from which geometric facets radiate towards a scalloped and serrated rim. The exterior of the bowl is finished with a hobnail-style texture. Accompanying the bowl is a small glass jug or creamer with similar faceted decoration and a starburst pattern to the base. Also included is a small cylindrical beaker or glass featuring vertical ribbing around the exterior. The glass exhibits good clarity without visible internal cloudiness or glass sickness. These pieces are characteristic of mid-20th-century mass-produced glassware, resembling patterns such as Wexford by Anchor Hocking or designs by British manufacturers like Sowerby. No permanent maker's marks or acid-etched signatures are visible on any of the items. Temporary orange and white stickers with numerical annotations are present on the surfaces.
