An Early 20th Century Mahogany Veneered Firescreen - An Edwardian style mahogany firescreen of rectangular form. The mahogany frame features a high, shaped top rail incorporating a pierced carry handle. The central inset panel is decorated with diamond-matched wood veneers, possibly of walnut or a lighter cut of mahogany. The piece is supported by a pair of splayed, curved trestle-style legs. No maker's marks or labels are visible on the object.
