A Trio of Framed Prints After Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and William Mulready - A trio of framed prints comprising two Renaissance reproductions and one nineteenth-century engraving. The first item is a colour reproduction print after Michelangelo (1475-1564) titled The Libyan Sibyl, depicting the figure from the Sistine Chapel ceiling. Identifying text in the lower right margin reads: Michelangelo (1475-1564): The Libyan Sibyl. Fresco Rome, Sistine Chapel Ceiling. The second is a monochrome reproduction after Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) titled The Virgin and Child with Saint Anne and Saint John the Baptist, identified by a typed label on the mount. These two items are presented in matching frames with gilt inner borders and dark wood-effect outer mouldings, set within tan-coloured mounts. The third work is a steel engraving on paper titled FAIR-TIME, after William Mulready, R.A. (1786-1863), engraved by Herbert Bourne (1825-1907). It is inscribed in the plate W. MULREADY, R.A. PAINTER. to the lower left and H. BOURNE, ENGRAVER. to the lower right. This engraving is housed in a gilt frame with a dark grey mount. All three items are protected under glass and bear auction lot labels numbered 322.
