A Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Vase in the Cantonese Style, 20th Century - A Chinese porcelain vase of ovoid form with a short neck and flared rim. The piece is decorated in the Cantonese style with hand-painted overglaze enamels in the Famille Rose palette. The body features reserve panels depicting long-tailed birds on flowering branches and butterflies, surrounded by a dense floral ground interspersed with smaller butterfly motifs. A pink meander or Greek key border decorates the rim. No maker's or reign marks are visible on the exterior.
