Each figure is modelled in a semi-rearing pose featuring ornate curled manes, wide open mouths, and prominent bulging eyes. The pieces show a high level of cast detail throughout the textured fur and scrolling upright tails. The metal displays a golden-brown patina with areas of surface oxidation and tarnish consistent with the casting process. These pieces are characteristic of 20th-century decorative items produced in the Chinoiserie style. There are no visible maker's marks, reign marks, or signatures on either piece.
