Bidspirit auction | A Pair of Victorian Style

A Pair of Victorian Style Brass Scoops with Turned Wooden Handles - A pair of hand-held scoops, each featuring a body formed from sheet brass with a rounded base and flared sides. The brass scoops are attached to short brass collars using visible rivets; the upper scoop in the image is secured with two rivets, and the lower scoop with three. Each is fitted with a dark, turned wooden handle in a traditional beehive or baluster pattern. These scoops are characteristic of late 19th or early 20th-century domestic hardware, commonly used for handling coal and cinders at the hearth or for measuring dry goods such as grain, flour, or sugar. There are no visible maker marks, stamps, or hallmarks on either the metal or wood components.
