Late Victorian or Early 20th Century Ceramic Pedestal Compote with Cornucopia Decoration - A ceramic pedestal compote featuring a shallow bowl with a scalloped rim, supported by a short pedestal on a matching scalloped foot. The piece is constructed from earthenware with a cream-coloured glaze. The exterior of the bowl is decorated with a central cornucopia motif filled with a bouquet of pink, blue, and yellow flowers. This central image is flanked by delicate scrolling foliate patterns in a light brown tone. The foot of the compote is further embellished with small floral sprays. Both the rim of the bowl and the edge of the base are finished with a broad band of tan-coloured glaze. No factory or maker marks are visible on the exterior of the piece. Two contemporary auction inventory stickers are present on the side.
