An Edwardian style mahogany three-tier folding cake stand - An early 20th-century three-tier folding cake stand, also referred to as a tea stand, constructed from mahogany with a dark polished finish. The stand features a slender upright rectangular frame topped with a shaped carrying handle. It incorporates three circular solid wood tiers, each with a recessed centre, attached to the frame by metal hinges. This design allows the tiers to be folded vertically, enabling the stand to fold flat for storage. The side rails of the frame extend to form splayed feet. No maker's marks or stamps are visible on the item.
