A Victorian Carved Mahogany Nursing Chair - A Victorian nursing chair of typical low-seated form, featuring a carved mahogany frame with a polished finish. The chair is designed with a shaped balloon-style back and waisted side supports. It is upholstered in a cream-coloured floral damask fabric, with the edges finished by a continuous line of brass-toned metal nailhead studs. The construction consists of a carved timber frame with a deep, padded back and seat. An orange auction sticker reading 495 2 is adhered to the upper left side of the frame. No maker's marks are visible.
