Edwardian Style Stained Wood Ladder Back Side Chair with Needlepoint Seats - An early 20th-century style side chair, constructed from stained hardwood. Each chair features a ladder back design with three horizontal slats, each with a scalloped lower edge. The chair is fitted with inset seat panels upholstered in hand-worked floral needlepoint, depicting roses and other blooms in pink, yellow, and green tones on a pale ground. The upholstery is bordered with a cream-coloured braided gimp trim. The frame are supported by turned front legs with connecting stretchers and square-section back legs. A small paper lot tag marked 2 is adhered to one back slat.
