Bidspirit auction | Two Clear Decorative Pressed Glass

Two Clear Decorative Pressed Glass Bowls with Pinwheel and Star Motifs - Two items of clear decorative glassware produced in the style of cut crystal, likely dating from the mid-20th century. The larger piece is a circular bowl featuring a complex moulded pattern with a central sunburst or daisy motif, surrounded by six-pointed stars and radiating wedge-shaped panels. This bowl stands on three small integral rounded feet and is finished with a serrated sawtooth rim. The second item is a shallow circular dish or platter displaying a central starburst within concentric bands of diagonal ribbing and an outer border of diamond-hatch patterning, also with a serrated rim. Both pieces are made from pressed glass designed to imitate the sharp facets of hand-cut lead crystal. A small white rectangular label with the printed characters 15 15 is affixed to the base of the larger bowl, and a small orange label is present on the smaller dish; neither serves as a permanent manufacturer mark. No signatures, acid-etched marks, or embossed names are visible. Bowl diameter: approximately 20cm - 25cm.
