A Pair of Graduated Mamluk Revival Style Cairoware Vases with Mixed Metal Inlays - A pair of graduated decorative vases of the type known as Cairoware, typically produced in Egypt or Syria during the late 19th or early 20th century. Each vase is constructed from a brass or bronze base, intricately hand-engraved and inlaid with copper and a silver-coloured metal. The decorative scheme features dense, stylised floral and foliate motifs characteristic of the Mamluk Revival tradition. The background surfaces have been treated with a dark chemical patina to enhance the contrast of the mixed metal inlays. Both vessels are of baluster form, featuring flared rims and circular pedestal bases. No maker's marks, stamps, or signatures are visible on the exterior surfaces.
