The set is crafted from unglazed dark brown earthenware clay, commonly known as purple clay or Zisha. The teapot features a rounded body with an arched handle and a short spout, decorated on one side with incised calligraphic characters and polychrome enamel highlights in green and red tones. The accompanying cups and saucers are of simple, undecorated form with a matte finish. The collection is housed in its original gold-coloured cardboard presentation box with a yellow fabric-lined interior.
