A Cased Set of William Page & Co. Silver-Plated Flatware and Cutlery - A comprehensive canteen of silver-plated flatware and cutlery produced by William Page & Co. Ltd. of Sheffield, England. The collection is housed in a dark wood case with a fitted interior lined in burgundy velvet, featuring a ”Tarnprufe” lining designed to prevent oxidation. The set includes an assortment of pieces including large and small knives, dinner forks, dessert forks, soup spoons, and dessert spoons. The knives feature silver-plated handles with a reeded Art Deco-inspired pattern at the bolster and pommel, fitted with stainless steel blades. A selection of the forks and spoons displays a decorative foliate scroll motif on the terminals. Additional serving pieces include a two-piece carving set comprising a fork and sharpening steel with wooden handles, an ornate silver-plated server with a decorative blade and ivory-coloured handle, and a large serving knife. The knife blades are etched with the mark WILLIAM PAGE & CO LTD / SHEFFIELD / ENGLAND and STAINLESS STEEL. The interior lid features a printed label for Tarnprufe PROCESSED LINING / PREVENTS TARNISH / FADELESS / PATENTED. A small metal plaque within the case is stamped MADE IN ENGLAND.
