A Little Wanzer Cast Iron Hand-Crank Sewing Machine - A Little Wanzer lock-stitch sewing machine, manufactured by the Wanzer Sewing Machine Company of Hamilton, Ontario. This antique portable machine is constructed from cast iron with a black finish and steel components. The design is characterised by a distinctive C-shaped upper arm and an ornate rococo-style scrolled base. It is operated via a spoked drive wheel featuring a wooden handle. The internal mechanism consists of a horizontal steel drive shaft connected to a vertical needle bar assembly. A rectangular metal bed plate is located beneath the needle bar area. The upper arm retains two modern adhesive paper lot stickers.
