A Set of Twelve Porcelain Dinner Plates and Shallow Bowls with Maroon and Gilt Decoration - A part dinner service of porcelain construction comprising twelve pieces. The set features a wide maroon border decorated with a repeating gilded foliate and floral pattern, consisting of scrolling vines and small five-petaled flowers. The decoration is framed by gilt-line detailing on both the inner and outer edges of the border. The service includes seven shallow bowls and five dinner plates. No manufacturer backstamps or factory marks are visible on the pieces. Small white square labels printed with the number 14 are present on several items, and an orange rectangular label is visible on the top bowl. Shallow bowls: 20cm - 23cm diameter Dinner plates: 25cm - 27cm diameter.
