A Pair of Victorian Staffordshire Pottery Spaniel Figures - A pair of Victorian Staffordshire pottery spaniel figures. These earthenware figures are modelled in a seated position, facing inward to form a mirrored pair. Each is finished in a creamy white glaze with a heavily textured surface representing a curly coat. Hand-painted details include black eyes with prominent lashes and pupils, and orange-russet muzzles with black stippled whiskers. Both dogs feature a relief-moulded collar with a decorative hanging chain detail. There are no factory or maker's marks visible on the bases. An orange adhesive label is present on the head of one figure.
