The first is The Poetical Works of William Wordsworth, presented in an ornate binding of dark pebble-grained material featuring a gilt-stamped monogram of the author's initials on the front board. The second volume is A Vagabond's Way: haphazard wanderings on the fells by Nancy Price, published in London by George Allen & Unwin Ltd. This work, a noted title for Lake District fell-walking literature, is illustrated by A. S. Hartrick, A.R.W.S., including a frontispiece titled Rough Weather on the Great Gable. The third item is a small-format Holy Bible, Authorised King James Version, printed by the Trinitarian Bible Society at 217 Kingston Road, London.
