A Collection of Vintage Sewing and Decorative Storage Boxes and a Quality Street Confectionery Tin with Buttons - A collection of vintage sewing and storage items. The group includes a cylindrical metal confectionery tin for Mackintosh's Quality Street, featuring printed graphic illustrations and containing a large assortment of buttons in various materials, colours, and sizes. Also included is a rectangular woven straw sewing basket with a hinged lid decorated with an embroidered bird and floral scene. The basket features a red tufted satin interior containing sewing notions such as white shoulder pads and curtain tape, with labels for Rufflette. The collection further comprises a light blue fabric-covered box with silk-style embroidery of a bird on a flowering branch, consistent with 20th-century Chinese export jewellery boxes. Completing the lot is a hexagonal wooden box with dark wood foliate inlays on the lid and side panels. Items bear auction lot stickers numbered 7 and 42.
