Two Decorative Items Comprising a Myott Son and Co Art Deco Pitcher and a Hand Painted Toleware Style Bin - This lot features two decorative objects. The first is an earthenware pitcher produced by Myott, Son and Co in Staffordshire, England, during the Art Deco period. The vessel is characterised by a flared trumpet shaped rim and a stylised foliate scroll handle. It is hand painted in an autumnal palette of brown and green with a vibrant orange rim and a scalloped interior border. The underside of the base bears a printed brown mark consisting of a crown above the text MYOTT. SON and CO, MADE IN ENGLAND, and HAND PAINTED, alongside a secondary red stamp stating MADE IN ENGLAND. The second item is a cylindrical toleware style bin, likely intended for waste paper or coal. It is decorated with a hand painted pink cabbage rose and green foliage set against a dark forest green ground. The upper and lower rims are finished with a border of domed brass coloured metal studs.
