The set exhibits the streamlined, mid-century modern forms characteristic of the period. The service comprises multiple teapots and hot water or coffee jugs in varying sizes, two-handled lidded tureens, an assortment of dinner plates, side plates, and saucers, various styles of tea and coffee cups, milk jugs, gravy boats with integral stands, a large rectangular divided serving tray, shaped oval serving dishes, and salt and pepper casters. Items bear the Poole Pottery factory mark to the base, consisting of a central dolphin emblem with POOLE above and ENGLAND below within a square border, a mark used from the 1950s.
