A Set of Libra Scale Co. Vintage Cast Iron and Brass Balance Scales with Weights - This set of vintage balance scales was manufactured by the Libra Scale Co. in England. The assembly comprises a heavy cast iron balance mechanism with a black painted finish, two removable brass pans, and a separate black stand containing a set of seven nested brass weights. The brass components include one large pouring scoop designed for the left side and a smaller, flat circular pan for the right side. The cast iron base features the embossed lettering LIBRA SCALE CO. on the left side and ENGLAND on the right, with a central oval plaque bearing the maker name Libra in cursive script. The cylindrical brass weights have their denominations incised on the top surfaces, including 100g and 50g.
