A Collection of Goebel M.I. Hummel Hand Painted Ceramic Figurines - A collection of hand-painted matte-glazed ceramic figurines produced by Goebel based on the designs of M.I. Hummel. The grouping includes several classic subjects: a girl in a pale green pinafore holding a watering can, identified as Little Gardener; a seated boy in a green hat with a bird perched on his foot; a girl with pigtails wearing a backpack, known as School Girl; and a boy in a green jacket carrying a wicker basket. The figurines are decorated in a characteristic muted colour palette. The figurine of the girl with the watering can features a clearly visible incised signature M. I. Hummel on the top of the circular base. One figure retains an orange adhesive lot tag numbered 119.
