A Trio of Lancaster and Sons Art Deco Hand Painted Graduated Jugs - A trio of earthenware graduated jugs manufactured by Lancaster and Sons (Hanley) Ltd. Each jug is of bulbous form featuring a pinched pouring spout and a simple loop handle. The exterior is decorated with a hand-painted Art Deco floral pattern against a cream-coloured ground. The motif includes stylized yellow and orange flowers with blue ribbon-like accents, green foliage, and orange circular details, all outlined in black. The rims and handles are finished with an orange-red wash. The underside of the jugs bears a printed backstamp in green/black depicting a shield crest with a fleur-de-lis, surrounded by the text MADE IN ENGLAND, L & SONS LTD, and HANLEY ENG. A hand-painted pattern number L 4 6 is also present in black ink.
