A Pair of Vernacular Oak Ladder-Back Side Chairs with Rush Seats - A pair of side chairs constructed from solid oak in a vernacular country style. Each chair features a backrest composed of three horizontal slats set between square uprights. The chairs are fitted with hand-woven rush seats finished in a traditional four-triangle envelope pattern. The frames are supported by square-section legs joined by box stretchers. A small white rectangular sticker is attached to the top rail of the left-hand chair reading 20 20, and a further illegible white label is present on the top rail of the right-hand chair.
