The trunk features a slightly domed lid and is reinforced with multiple metal rivets along the seams and edges. The front is fitted with a central metal lock plate and hasp. The base includes five protective metal studs. This style of trunk was commonly used for travel during the early to mid-20th century. While characters are stamped into the lock plate, they are illegible due to wear and surface oxidation, preventing a specific maker attribution.
