A Collection of 78rpm Shellac Records and 12-inch Vinyl LPs - This lot comprises a collection of approximately 50 to 100 records including 10-inch and 12-inch 78rpm shellac discs and 12-inch vinyl LPs, housed in two large cardboard boxes. The collection focuses on mid-20th century popular music, big band, and vocalists. Identifiable items include a Columbia 78rpm record by Eddie Calvert (The Man with the Golden Trumpet) performing Roses of Picardy (catalogue number D.B. 3581) and a Glenn Miller In The Mood compilation LP on the Contour label. Other artists and titles visible on the spines include Frankie Vaughan, 101 Strings, Pilgrim King, and Down Drury Lane to Memory Lane. Many of the 78rpm records are kept in period brown paper sleeves, some bearing handwritten dates including 20/4/56.
