Two decorative brass items comprising a small bucket and a lyre-form trivet - A lot of two decorative hearth-side metal items consisting of a small cauldron-style bucket and an openwork trivet. The cylindrical brass bucket is constructed with a rounded base and a slightly flared, rolled rim. It features a dark-finished, flat-section wrought iron swing handle secured to the body by two copper rivets on each side. The interior retains a bright finish, while the exterior shows a dark, aged patina. The cast brass trivet is designed in a classical lyre or harp motif, featuring vertical openwork bars and scrolled flourishes. The piece terminates in a decorative handle at the top and is supported on three short, integral cast feet to the reverse. Both items bear a white rectangular adhesive label printed with the number 14 and an orange rectangular adhesive label printed with the number 1. No maker's marks are visible on either item.
