A late Victorian pierced brass tilting kettle stand dated 1895 - A late Victorian cast and pierced brass stand, likely intended as a hearth kettle stand or decorative trivet. The item features a square top plate with rounded corners, elaborately decorated with a pattern of pierced scrollwork and a central sunburst motif. This plate is mounted via a tilting mechanism to a turned, multi-collared pedestal stem which terminates in a stepped, circular base. Stamped into the square pivot block on the underside of the top plate are the characters 1895, PATENT, and No 702. An orange rectangular adhesive label is affixed to the upper surface of the pierced plate.
