Large 19th Century Heavy Gauge Brass Preserve Pan with Wrought Iron Handle - A large 19th-century heavy-gauge brass preserve pan or cooking pot of circular form. The vessel features a deep-sided body constructed from heavy brass, possibly spun or hammered, with a slightly everted rim. It is fitted with a substantial hand-wrought iron bail handle, which is secured to the body by two large rivets. The interior of the pot shows a bright finish with significant evidence of domestic use. No maker's marks, stamps, or signatures are visible on either the interior or exterior surfaces.
