Bidspirit auction | A Victorian Earthenware and Stained

A Victorian Earthenware and Stained Wood Tapered Cachepot - This Victorian decorative cachepot is of square, tapered form, featuring a dark-stained wooden framework. The construction includes four turned corner posts, each surmounted by a conical finial and featuring rounded metal studs on the outer faces. Internal horizontal metal rods provide structural support between the posts. The frame is inset with four ceramic panels, likely earthenware, decorated with transfer-printed and hand-tinted rural landscape scenes. The visible scene depicts a red-roofed cottage amongst trees by a waterway under a pale sky. A white rectangular adhesive label bearing the handwritten numeral 7 and an orange rectangular adhesive label bearing the numeral 19 are adhered to one wooden vertical support. No manufacturer marks, signatures, or factory backstamps are visible on the exterior surfaces shown.
