A Victorian ironstone condiment stand with associated Imari pattern jug and dish - A ceramic condiment set comprising a white-glazed ironstone or earthenware stand and two associated vessels. The stand is constructed with a central turned column featuring a spherical finial and three circular rings designed to hold containers. It currently holds one small jug and one small circular dish, both decorated in a traditional Imari style. The decoration consists of underglaze cobalt blue and overglaze iron red and orange, depicting large peonies and stylized foliage with detailed veining on the leaves. The jug is formed with a scalloped rim and a rustic-style handle modelled to resemble intertwined branches. A white adhesive label reading 7 is attached to the jug handle (photo 1). An orange adhesive label reading 44 is applied to the side of the jug body (photo 1). No factory marks or country-of-origin stamps are visible on the exterior of the items.
