A collection of stoneware tableware and a glass measuring jug - A collection of stoneware tableware including a teapot with a matching lid, a cream jug, a large open bowl, and a smaller lidded pot nested within the bowl. The pieces are finished in a dark brown matte glaze, decorated with hand-painted stylised ochre foliate and rosette motifs. The lids are topped with finials featuring a concentric spiral pattern. No maker's marks or factory stamps are visible on the exterior of the pieces. A small white adhesive label bearing the printed number 12 is present on the rim of the pitcher and the lid of the teapot. A handwritten orange adhesive label with the number 57 is affixed to the lid of the nested pot. Accompanying the set is a clear glass measuring jug featuring an integral handle and pouring spout. The jug is printed with red measurement scales for cups and sugar, as well as a volume scale in decilitres ranging from 5 to 10. The markings show some signs of fading and wear. The glass jug has a capacity of 10 decilitres according to the printed scale.
