A Collection of Nineteenth-Century British Copper Lustre and Transfer-Printed Earthenware - A collection of earthenware pieces showcasing various nineteenth-century decorative techniques. The assembly includes a large copper lustre jug featuring a central cobalt blue band decorated with hand-painted polychrome sprigged floral and fruit motifs in relief. A second jug is finished in copper lustre with a wide band of pink beaded textured decoration. A small mug features horizontal banding in yellow and dark blue with a copper lustre rim and handle, and a small cream jug displays a floral band at the neck against a copper lustre ground. Two matching teacups and saucers are decorated with a transfer-printed poppy and scrolled foliage pattern tinted in orange, green, and brown, featuring scalloped rims. An orange adhesive label reading 87 is attached to the textured jug, and a similar label reading L8 is fixed to one of the saucers. No manufacturer marks, printed backstamps, or impressed characters are visible on the pieces.
