The case is constructed of hardwood featuring a broken-arch pediment with carved rosettes and a central shell-carved finial. The hood door is arched and flanked by fluted colonnettes. The waist of the clock contains fluted corner columns and a long door with a carved shell motif at the top. The base is set on a molded plinth with a scrolled apron. The composite brass and silvered dial features a chapter ring with Roman numerals for hours and Arabic numerals for minutes. The dial corners are decorated with cast brass foliate spandrels. A silvered boss in the arch is inscribed in script Rudy Stoner Lancaster. The interior contains a weight-driven eight-day mechanical movement with a bell strike. Included are two lead cylindrical weights and a pendulum with a brass-faced bob. The backboard exhibits rough-sawn construction and evidence of historic woodworm.
