Also, a NSDAP Membership Card (Mitgliedskarte) 50,622 to Josef Maranitsch: Born: 9 January 1899 Residence: Wien III, Rochusgasse Ortsgruppe: Wien (Ungargasse) Accepted: 6 October 1926 Issued: Munich, 15 July 1939. A 1926 membership date places him very early in the party, long before the Anschluss (1938). Austrian members often received replacement or re-issued cards in 1938–39, explaining the Munich issue date. Also included is the Confirmation Card (Bestatigungskarte) which was another proof of party membership.
