Pierced White-Metal Numbered Disc (Identity/Membership Tag) - Unidentified - A circular pierced disc in a metal believed to be nickel-silver, commemorative in nature and worn by a Holocaust survivor in the postwar period, with the pierced number recalling the identification numbers assigned to concentration camp inmates. The upper field bears a stylized cut-out inverted triangle, a symbol associated with camp prisoner classification markings, while the lower field carries the number ”76625” in ornate pierced script, separated from the triangle by two horizontal bars. Both faces are otherwise plain, without maker's marks, unit insignia, or additional text. Such personal commemorative badges were sometimes made or worn by survivors as a private memorial to their internment and the number by which they had been known.
