Third Reich Nazi SS Helfen Ladies Brooch - This women's SS Helfen brooch from the Second World War is a distinctive and refined piece, featuring an original SS Helfen badge mounted onto a personalised openwork filigree backing in what appears to be silver.The brooch displays the Helfen text with its characteristic runes set between finely detailed oak leaves, while the surrounding filigree body consists of meticulously hand-formed wire patterns in what appears to be silver that give the piece its elegant and unique appearance.The SS-Helferinnenkorps was the women's auxiliary organisation attached to the SS from 1942, providing female personnel for communications, clerical and support roles within the SS apparatus, including at Reich Labour Service and Waffen-SS signals units.
