Date: Late 17th c.
Technique: Wood, carved, ebonised.
Description: Each of oval, octagonal form, the wide framing with wave relief. Fine bas-reliefs in each
of the picture fields. One with the 'Abduction of Europa by Zeus in the form of a bull'
and the other with the depiction of 'Zeus and Semele' as the god reveals himself to her in
his true form with an eagle and a bundle of lightning bolts.
Measurement: Each 3x33x27cm.
