Technique: Silver case, brass gilt , welded steel, steel amongst others. Description: Silver dial in Champlevée technique. Chapter ring with Arabic minutes, Roman hours, in between round decorative rivets in copper. Pierced hands. The allegories of Chronos and Aurora in the centre. Marked 'Markham' under the XII, the date display above the VI. Movement with verge escapement with chain and fusee, iron balance, pierced verge piston with engraved leaves and blossom. Owner's monogram 'IB' engraved on the lower rim. Measurement: Height 2,3cm, Ø 4cm. Mark: Inscr. on the dial ”Markham”, on the backpanel ”J Markham London 37061” (John Markham, from 1769, Loomes p.507). Marked watch case: inspection mark London 1774, maker's mark Samuel Priest.
